2016  REGULATIONS

Dear Masters - "Sea Festival" orienteering competition is a great opportunity to practice and prepare for the World Masters Orienteering Championships (WMOC) 2016, which will be held in 7-13 of August in Estonia.
"Sea Festival" competition is a great opportunity to test your readiness before the World Masters Orienteering Championships in both disciplines: forest and sprint races.

PLACE, DATE AND PROGRAM

2016.07.30 – Klaipėda town (see link ->>>):

• 10:30 – 11.30 arrival and registration;

• 12:00 Long Sprint start;

2016.07.31 – Smiltynė, Klaipėda (see link ->>>):

• 9:00 - 10.30 arrival and registration;

• 11:00 prolonged Middle distance start;

• 13:30 val. prize giving ceremony.

HOW TO GET HERE?

There are a lot of opportunities how to come to Lithuania by plane. Airports located in Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga.
You can fly here with Ryanair, WizzAir or other airline company.

From Vilnius to Klaipėda you can go: by train or bus.
From Kaunas or Palanga to Klaipėda you can go by bus.

There are daily ferrys from Karlshamn (Sweden) and Kiel (Germany) to Klaipėda.

START FEE

M/W 12–18    5 € (+ SI rent fee 0,60 €/competition);

M/W 21–60    12 € (+ SI rent fee 2 €/competition);

M/W 65–70 and students with ISIC    8 € (+ SI rent fee 2 €/competition);

Fine of registration cancellation - 50 % of start fee.

Participants who lost or fail to return rented SI card must pay a non-return charge which is equal to value of SI card.

Start fee can be payed via bank transfer or at the desk in the Event centre.

PRIZES

Winers of the competition wil be determined by the sum of time of two days.

ACCOMMODATION

Participants take care about accommodation of themselves.

Do not forget that the festival brings together a lot of people. Therefore, we strongly recommend to take care of accommodation in advance!

For health athletes are responsible themselves.

EXTRA INFO

1st day Klaipėda new town/old town

Car parking in the town at the weekend is free, with the exception of the Northern horn (Danes str. 1, entrance to the Old Ferry Terminal to Smiltynė) and the Southern horn (Priešpilio str. 6, near cruise ship terminal).

During the Sea Festival old town is closed to cars. Organizers recommend to leave your cars in the following locations:

Organizers recomending parking.
For 1st day:
- Parking at K. Donelaičio str.
For 2nd day:
- Big parking near Bangų str. 
- Parking at Šimkaus str.
- Parking at Liepų str.

Part of courses will be in the New Town, where there is no limited car traffic. All participants are invited to follow the traffic rules, and taking care of your own safety. The most active street on the map are marked with "restricted area" sign, and a pedestrian crossings are marked on the map with "crossing" sign.
